Five Star Home Services Is Showing Up for 3.21
Canal Winchester's Five Star Home Services plans to rock their socks and give $3,210 to help celebrate World Down Syndrome Day 2027.
Canal Winchester's own Five Star Home Services is joining Celebrate 3.21 for World Down Syndrome Day 2027. The team plans to rock their socks, and the company is giving $3,210 to support the celebration.
A hometown company says yes
Five Star Home Services provides HVAC, plumbing and electrical services across Central and Southwest Ohio, and its headquarters is right here in Canal Winchester.
When we ask, "Can an entire community show up for 3.21?", every local yes matters. Hearing one from a hometown business is a great way to start.
How Five Star is being a little extra
Rocking their socks. Colorful, mismatched socks are the simplest way to spark a conversation about what 3.21 means. Five Star's team plans to wear theirs for World Down Syndrome Day.
Giving $3,210. That's 3.21, times a thousand. Five Star's gift supports Celebrate 3.21, an initiative of Continue the Story, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Giving back is already part of who they are
Service to the community is already part of Five Star's story. Through its Profit On Purpose commitment, the company says it gives 10% of profit to charity and supports local nonprofits in the communities it serves.
Why March 21?
World Down Syndrome Day falls on 3/21 because Down syndrome happens when a person has three copies of the 21st chromosome. It's a day to celebrate people with Down syndrome and to build communities where everyone belongs.
In 2027, March 21 falls on a Sunday. Many businesses will celebrate during 3.21 Week, March 15–21, with Friday, March 19 as a popular day to rock your socks.
Thank you, Five Star
Every business that says yes helps people with Down syndrome in our community hear three simple things: You are valued. You belong here. We celebrate you.
Your business can show up too
We're not asking every business to donate. We're asking every business to participate. Rock your socks, hang a sign, share a post, or create something that's uniquely yours. Every way of showing up counts.
