A little extra changes everything.
Celebrate 3.21 is a communitywide movement inspired by World Down Syndrome Day on March 21. We’re bringing families, businesses, schools, churches, and neighbors together to celebrate people with Down syndrome, raise awareness, and make inclusion visible throughout our community.
Inspired by Down syndrome. Built for everyone.
We’re not asking everyone to donate. We’re asking everyone to participate.
Imagine walking through your community on March 21 and seeing colorful socks in shop windows, students celebrating differences, churches sharing messages of belonging, and families making memories together.
Different places. Different people. One shared message.
“You are valued. You belong here. We celebrate you.”
It starts in Canal Winchester, Ohio, with a vision to inspire other communities to make March 21 their own.

The extra in 3.21
47 totalChromosome 21: three copies, the extra behind 3/21.
3 copies of chromosome 21 → 3/21. Most cases of Down syndrome involve a full extra copy; some people have other forms.
Why 3.21?
March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. The date represents the three copies of chromosome 21 associated with Down syndrome.
It’s a day to celebrate people with Down syndrome, challenge assumptions, and remind our communities that differences are something to embrace. But our hope is that what starts on March 21 continues long after the day is over.

Joy first. People first. Community first.
This isn’t about hosting the biggest event or raising the most money. It’s about helping people feel seen, creating opportunities for meaningful conversations, and making inclusion something our community practices together.
If dozens of businesses, schools, churches, and families participate, we’ve accomplished something meaningful, even if no money is raised.
Participation is the goal. Awareness is the spark. Belonging is what we’re building.
